How Automation is changing our lives?

According to Longman dictionary Integration is the combination of two or more things so that they work together effectively. Based on this definition it will surely lead to personnel reduction. The reasons are the following: it leads to cost benefit. Cost-benefit analysis (CBA) is a technique which attempts to describe and quantify the social costs and social benefits of investment projects, to help in deciding whether or not an investment should be undertaken (Pearse, 1971). Biesse Group makes use of machine usage analysis and production process optimization. Since Biesse Group is interested in market growth and cost savings cum customers are interested in viewing digital capabilities with overall productivity. Instead of the company to employ, it makes use of machines performed to carry out its functions and the excellently. This will surely reduce the cost of production.

Biesse Group makes use of preventive maintenance alerts, machine management, manufacturing events analysis, and remote software distribution. Sensors and devices on the machines performed vital roles which also customized the services the customers received from the machines. This led to the company to develop a closer relationship with the customers by providing suggestions on how to get the most from their machines. Also, because of the flexible menu of services, it helps to improve machine productivity and customer satisfaction by minimizing machine outages through predictive maintenance and in-depth analysis. The organization is satisfied with the output of the machines and high productivity from the machines. This reminds us that there is no time constraint to the use of these machines by the customers not like employees that there is closing time, no more customers to be attended to but in the case of machines, it works round the clock, the way it’s being programmed.

Goldcorp a mining company acquired rights to a mine site in Argentina collaborate with Accenture to improve their productivity. The solution comprises a communications and data infrastructure that integrates Goldcorp’s existing Wi-Fi network with location-based technologies and gas detectors to remotely monitor workers, equipment and air quality in the underground mine (Accenture). All these functions had reduced the personnel or employees that supposed to be engaged by Goldcorp. Also, with Accenture Life Safety Solution, Goldcorp has responded more quickly to safety incidents, improve its operational performance by enhancing communications between mine locations, and enabling better collaboration and decision making, analyze real-time data to improve productivity. All these functions will surely consume time if it were to be done by employees or personnel before data is being collected and analyzed. It will consume a lot of resources such as capital, materials, energy and time of the workers. All these were done to save time and cost digitally.

In the case of BMW, Accenture was able to revolutionize selling of cars, with new tech-savvy customer groups, and bring dealerships to customers digitally. All these will surely reduce personnel, for example, the marketing department of BMW will employ very few workers to market the BMW products or cars because the customers or prospective buyers can easily view the cars through an app. Also, in the area of advert, it will also reduce cost because ARKit from Apple enables visual content in a visual space. Customers can download it from the App Store to visualize the different car configurations. Features such as interior styles, exterior colors, and wheel rims can be altered at the touch of a screen.

The first thing for the organization to do is to bring on board personnel or human resource department. A good personnel department should be able to perform well in a number of roles. Firstly, it should be able to give expert and up to date advice on day to day personnel matters, advice which is respected by managers in other departments (Alan & Chloe, 1992). Thus, it needs an adequate and relevant knowledge base with good social skills in relating to managers. Secondly, it should be able to advise top management on personnel issues relevant to policy and strategy (Alan & Chloe, 1992). This means a good understanding of both policy and strategy, which in turn means that the personnel department should be knowledgeable about the nature of the business of the organization it is involved in, including an understanding of relevant financial and technical matters.

What are the challenges Zara face to maintain it's growth?

Notably, Zara has a unique approach to handle changing demand, which has allowed the company to become widely successful and a leading business organization in the fashion retail industry, in which many corporations struggle to deal with fast-changing environments, operations, and inventory costs. The arrival of new trends forces retailers to adapt their collections, causing what James (2011) calls the Forrester or bullwhip effect. Zara relies heavily on outsourced manufacturing, even though most operations and inventory decisions and strategies are still held, taken, and based out on their headquarters in Spain. Every time an order is placed, all items are shipped to Spain for final design adjustments and inventory stocking. With the use of technology and collaboration with its store managers, the company can produce only what is currently trending, which results in a significant reduction of unsold items caused by the rapidly changing tastes of consumers in this fast-changing ind

How Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) revolutionize the automobile manufacturing industry?

Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) system was created to revolutionize the actual automobile manufacturing systems. TNGA aims to promote a massive transformation in Toyota's development processes by emphasizing in harmony between planning and design, which, when appropriately combined and managed, will increase the company’s efficiency (N.A., 2015). Toyota's TNGA system is revolutionary because it creates an even leaner way of designing and manufacturing its cars and establishes a new era of vehicle design and production. From a different perspective, TNGA is a revolutionary system not because it employs a modular approach; since companies like Nissan and Volkswagen already use modular systems in their production plants (Schmitt, 2015). It is revolutionary because it is disruptive and expands the traditional and legendary Toyota’s lean methodology to a different level (N.A., 2015). This new global architecture system is disruptive to the old Toyota Production System (T
